Inspiration from Barbara

There are so many people who volunteer their time and abilities to see that our church functions so well.    Many do this ‘behind the scenes’ with little acknowledgement and thanks.  Many of us take so much for granted…things get done, plans get made, items are available, etc.  To those of you who are responsible for that happening, thanks soooooooo much!

I saw the following words recently (author unknown) and want to share them:
Prayer is not a ‘spare wheel’ that you pull out when in trouble; it is a ‘steering wheel’ that directs us in the right path throughout life.

Do you know why a car’s windshield is so large and the rear view mirror is so small?  Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE.  So, look ahead and move on.

All things in life are temporary.  If they are going well, enjoy it; they will not last forever.  If they are going wrong, don’t worry; they can’t last long either.

Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, ‘Relax, it’s just a bend, not the end!

When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn’t solve your problems, HE has faith in your abilities.

A blind person asked St. Anthony: ‘Can there be anything worse than losing eyesight?’  He replied: ‘Yes, losing your vision.’

When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

WORRYING does not take away tomorrow’s TROUBLES; it takes away today’s PEACE.

I hope all Moms have a great Mother’s Day.  If your Mom is no longer with you, remember those women in your life who have ‘mothered’ you… a sister, neice, friend.  Adopt a mom.  There are many adoptable mothers in nursing homes, hospitals, retirement communities, etc. who would love to be loved!
